So, what do we make of it happening again... four years later? Four years of stagnation, lies, partisanship, and a total lack of transparency. What happened?<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Campaigning</span></b><br />
<br />
Take the fucking gloves off! The GOP falls all over itself, playing nicey nice, so as not to offend the delicate sensibilities of Independents, moderates, and women. Guess what? They aren't voting for the Republican anyway! You just lost to the worst President of all time because you didn't want to seem like a big meanie.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Theocons</span></b><br />
<br />
Nationally, the Republican Party is dead as we know it. Good! The Religious Right has undermined the GOP for the last two Presidential races. Leave talk of abortion, birth control, and gay rights out of my politics! Keep it in your church, or start your own political party.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">GOP</span></b><br />
<br />
None of the above matters if the GOP doesn't reinvent itself. Today's majority is not looking for solutions to problems. The less they know about problems, the better. To them, it's all about emotions. Prey on their fears and beliefs. If they don't have any, invent some for them, just as the Dems would.<br />
<br />
The ten million new voters since 2008 skewed much younger and non-white. The opposite of the GOP... old and white. Get out there and show Latinos, Jews, and women why the Republican Party is the party for working, tax paying, voters. Or, do nothing, and lose national elections until they stop having them.<br />

Unless you get all your news from ABC, CBS, or NBC, you have heard excerpts from his speech last Friday in Roanoke, Virginia.<br />
<br />
While Obama's apologists claim that portions of the speech were taken out of context, there is no doubt that every word he said was carefully crafted to promote his class warfare strategy for reelection. He would have his followers believe that the successful are ruthless, greedy, and don't pay their fair share. Never mind that the successful are paying most of this nation's taxes.<br />
<br />
His statement that, "If you’ve got a business -- you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen.", would be laughable if it were not borderline Communist babble. He also mentioned that it's not just hard work and intelligence that creates a successful business.... his way of saying that successful people are just luckier than his entitlement base. <div>
<br /></div>
<div>
He feels that government is mostly responsible for any business's success. From roads, to schools, to police and fire protection..... how would he explain the 80% of new businesses that fail? Even though they also have these government services. If government is responsible for profitable businesses, should they not also be accountable for the vast majority that fail? </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The entire speech was nothing more than Obama telling his base that they are as smart and work as hard as business owners... and, in fact, they deserve a lot of credit for those that succeed. The speech featured the Divider in Chief telling them that everyone gets a "participation trophy" in his America. </div>Gene Haddockhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03677117602150714769noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8214527452317104467.post-48465219381182910072012-01-21T12:18:00.000-08:002012-01-21T12:40:40.676-08:00A Newt's Tale*** Get ready for major bimbo eruptions along the Gingrich heat wave after he surged in South Carolina.<br /><br />*** The main stream media just doesn't get it. They didn't notice the cheers Newt received when he eviscerated the hack moderator to kick off Thursday night's debate? <br /><br />*** They brought Herman Cain down with no evidence, but Cain has integrity and a wife he cares about. Newt has no shame! He won't be brought down by bimbos. <br /><br />*** Lock of the year: When the bimbo eruptions don't hurt Newt, the msm will move on to the race card. Somewhere, somehow, they'll have witnesses of Newt being RAYCESS! <br /><br />*** Am I the only one who did not hear Newt request an open marriage in the quote that his ex-wife blabbed on ABC?<br /><br />*** Then Newt claimed that any of his friends from back then could have told ABC that the quote was false. Huh? Who tells their friends about asking his wife for an open marriage?<br /><br />*** Most likely: Newt grew tired of the lack of affection from wife number two and moved on. <br /><br />*** Why would a second wife be surprised, hurt, or angry when the guy that cheated on wife number one with her goes after future wife number three?<br /><br />*** How many msm 'reporters' are on the trail hunting Newt's past conquests, and trying to get them to come forward? 100? 1000? Reporters, not conquests.<br /><br />*** How many past conquests live in Chicago? In David Axlerod's building?<br /><br />*** Newt is the only guy that scares the (oxymoron alert!) administration and the msm. They would never let Obama engage him in an open debate.Gene Haddockhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03677117602150714769noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8214527452317104467.post-58395224179445589252011-12-19T07:49:00.000-08:002011-12-19T12:48:30.134-08:00Kim (Ace) Jong IlOne of the nuts that drove the Axis of Evil recently passed away. North Korean strongman, and 'Dear Leader', Kim Jong Il reportedly died due to "working too hard". I'll leave it to others to write his history, I'll stick to sports.<br /><br />Yes, KJ was one hell of a sportsman. He holds records in golf that may never be equaled. In 1994, during his first round of golf on a regulation golf course, he scored 11 holes-in-one! And, carded an amazing 38 under par! <br /><br />Why haven't the PGA and the sports world in general given this man his due? He had dozens of witnesses (his personal bodyguards) to that round, but he still is not in the record books? He probably never went pro because he was busy despoting and tyranting and such.<br /><br />Let's open the door of friendship with North Korea, and admit that KJ Il was the greatest golfer of all time!Gene Haddockhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03677117602150714769noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8214527452317104467.post-22008015184019605202011-12-02T08:17:00.000-08:002011-12-02T09:12:48.535-08:00That Uppity Cain!I suppose when a candidate has absolutely no record to convince voters that he deserves to be reelected he must constantly try to defame the other candidates. President Obama has only Seal Team Six to thank for anything "he" has accomplished in his first term. So, Obama's minions and the main stream media (redundancy alert) have one chance in hell at reelection.... by destroying the reputations of any serious challengers.<div><br /></div><div> Not content with allowing the sketchy public records of the Republican field to sink themselves, certain operatives have resorted to the lynching of Herman Cain via biased media outlets. A steady parade of dead beat women have been trotted out with claims against Cain. The media has ran with these stories despite a lack of proof, witnesses, or evidence.</div><div><br /></div><div>Two decades ago Clarence Thomas, another conservative black man, faced bogus claims of a sexual nature as he was being nominated to the Supreme Court. The liberal, main stream press have no problems painting a conservative black man as some kind of sex maniac who can't control his animal urges. </div><div><br /></div><div>As long as blacks know their place, and stay on the Democrat plantation, they will be built up, not torn down, by the liberal press. If a conservative black had committed even one of Jesse Jackson's public gaffes, he would have been banished to Antarctica long ago.</div>Gene Haddockhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03677117602150714769noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8214527452317104467.post-48469639191581452052011-07-23T09:46:00.000-07:002011-07-23T10:23:03.464-07:00Corporate Jets are Killing U.S. EconomyJust five or six months ago Barack Obama floated a budget that raised the debt by ten trillion dollars over the next decade. The Senate shot it down 97-0. No one in the mainstream media has mentioned it since. Now, Obama is all about cutting debt... mainly by increasing revenue. Revenue is how Progressives pronounce the word 'taxes'.<div><br /></div><div>Instead of bringing real solutions to our staggering debt, Obama and the rest of the Progs are more concerned with their reelection chances. They constantly pander to the clueless hordes of the entitlement society. Their latest talking point is the term 'corporate jets'. The evil corporate jets must be taxed to keep our country from defaulting! </div><div><br /></div><div>Sure, Progs, go ahead and take away the rapid depreciation write offs for corporate jets. That would be less than a billion in 'revenue' against the 15+ trillion we're in debt now. But the liberal leaders know they can count on their base of non-taxpayers to swallow this whole. </div><div><br /></div><div>The leaders of the liberal/progressive/socialist movement want increased class warfare and wealth envy. It's the one thing they can count on their base to buy into. Rich people are evil, tax dodgers... especially the ones in this administration, but that's another story. </div><div><br /></div><div>The polls are showing Obama losing in 2012 to any Republican with a pulse, so expect this administration's "us vs them" message to get louder and louder. Obama has no accomplishments to get him reelected, so his message is that if you want to keep getting those government checks (like close to 50% are now) every month, you better vote for him.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>Gene Haddockhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03677117602150714769noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8214527452317104467.post-18364151712572938862011-06-15T16:28:00.000-07:002011-06-16T09:15:25.723-07:00The Unprogressive ProgressiveMost rational people know that job creation is almost non-existent because employers will not hire people right now due to uncertainty about the future. They don't know what the tax structure will be in two years, they don't know if they will be forced to supply healthcare, and they have no idea if the EPA will backdoor cap and trade sanctions on them. They simply will not hire new people as long as the current administration continues to foist unpopular, anti-business, socialism upon them.<div><br /></div><div>Earlier this week President Obama tried to blame ATMs and airport self-serve kiosks for high unemployment numbers; as if ATMs are displacing bank tellers. He can not possibly be that stupid, but he evidently believes his supporters are. As usual the main stream media overlooked this outright lie. Imagine the uproar if Sarah Palin uttered the same inanities as the man from Harvard.</div><div><br /></div><div>The number of bank tellers is steadily rising, and the Bureau of Labor statistics predicts "favorable" job prospects for tellers over the next decade. So, try again, sir. Perhaps, your base will believe that the automobile industry is keeping all of the blacksmiths out of work. Or, the light bulb factories are responsible for all the candle makers currently on unemployment.</div>Gene Haddockhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03677117602150714769noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8214527452317104467.post-10678604792179707062011-05-09T20:23:00.000-07:002011-05-09T20:26:52.211-07:00The Inner Circle<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8Drk1A3eTEk/TchA0tOtzNI/AAAAAAAAA3g/q4gtWr2ZRzw/s400/MAY9THCSARS.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 307px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8Drk1A3eTEk/TchA0tOtzNI/AAAAAAAAA3g/q4gtWr2ZRzw/s400/MAY9THCSARS.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>Gene Haddockhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03677117602150714769noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8214527452317104467.post-41494262788844663352011-04-20T07:51:00.000-07:002011-04-20T09:35:29.789-07:00A Trip to The Post OfficeLet me say first that I have not been to the Post Office in several years. I have a personal mail box at a private postal service, Postal Pal, which has excellent service. Yet, somehow, in this age of direct payments, I found myself in need of one stamp the other day.<div><br /></div><div>I was close to the Post Office on Rivers Avenue in North Charleston. I last visited there more than ten years ago; you know, back when they still had stamp machines that took cash. As I pulled in, I noticed the lot was almost full, except for the three handicap spaces up front. Three? No matter, all I needed was the one stamp, I'd pop in and out in no time.</div><div><br /></div><div>Upon entering the lobby, I spied the new fangled, postage machine, with fully functioning side scale. After waiting for the golden-ager ahead of me to complete his business, I stepped up and began touching the touch screen. Oh, by the way, it doesn't dispense stamps, it prints out the amount like a postage meter. </div><div><br /></div><div>After the mini-ordeal of five or six screens to buy a stamp, the last screen said insert credit card. Great! I don't carry a wallet. I just leave my license, cards, etc in my car's console until I need them. So, back outside to get a credit card, back by the three, still vacant, handicapped spots, back by the twenty people still waiting for the next available USPS clerk, back inside to wait behind the three people who were once waiting behind me at the postage machine.</div><div><br /></div><div>Now that I know that I need to bring a credit card to buy a forty-four cent stamp I probably won't be back, but I do love that postage dispenser. Just one thought for the highly efficient folks in postal blue.... Why don't you put up a couple of signs that say, 'No Cash, Credit Only'! </div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>Gene Haddockhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03677117602150714769noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8214527452317104467.post-37159981579834947742011-04-01T14:06:00.000-07:002011-04-01T15:54:46.998-07:00NWO at the DOJShould an outfit as huge as the United States Department of Justice be using some globalist, new world order, mumbo jumbo dogma as its slogan? <div><br /></div><div>Last summer the DOJ took the US flag, and eagle, off its letterhead, and, off the home page of their website. The new letterhead is black and white, while the web page looks like one of the free options from Google Blogger. Oceanic Blue?</div><div><br /></div><div>More disturbing than removing any hint of Old Glory is the addition of a globalist quote to prominence on the DOJ's public face. <i>"The common law is the will of mankind, issuing from the life of the people." </i>This globalist (I say, communist) double speak is credited to C. Wilfred Jenks. </div><div><br /></div><div>Jenks was a lawyer for the International Labor Organization during the last century. Some of the ILO's great ideas were placing the first Soviet senior member of the UN, giving Palestine observer status in the UN, and making anti-Israel announcements. The ILO was so leftist that the US withdrew from them back in the 1970s. </div><div><br /></div><div>Apparently, they are leaning just left enough for the Obama administration to plaster one of their leader's quotes all over our "unbiased" Department of Justice. </div>Gene Haddockhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03677117602150714769noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8214527452317104467.post-33183435597489142952010-12-10T16:32:00.000-08:002010-12-10T16:38:45.930-08:00U.S. Tax System Explained to Dems<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'times new roman', 'new york', times, serif; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px; "><b><span style="color: red; "></span></b><span class="Apple-style-span"></span></span><span><span>From the University of Georgia<br /><br />Bar Stool Economics<br /><br />Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and<br />the bill for all ten comes to $100 and If they paid<br />their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something<br />like this:<br /><br />The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.<br />The fifth would pay $1.<br />The sixth would pay $3.<br />The seventh would pay $7.<br />The eighth would pay $12.<br />The ninth would pay $18.<br />The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.<br /><br />So, that's what they decided to do.<br /><br />The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed<br />quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the<br />owner threw them a curve. "Since you are all such good<br />customers," he said, "I'm going to reduce the cost of<br />your daily beer by $20." so drinks for the ten now cost<br />just $80.<br /><br />The group still wanted to pay their bill the way<br />we pay our taxes so the first four men were unaffected...They<br />would still drink for free...But what about the other<br />six men - the paying customers? How could they divide<br />the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his 'fair<br />share?'...They realized that $20 divided by six is<br />$3.33...But if they subtracted that from everybody's<br />share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each<br />end up being paid to drink his beer..So, the bar owner<br />suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's<br />bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to<br />work out the amounts each should pay.<br /><br />And so:<br />The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing<br />(100% savings).<br />The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%savings).<br />The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28%savings).<br />The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings).<br /><br />The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings).<br />The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).<br /><br />Each of the six was better off than before...And<br />the first four continued to drink for free...But once<br />outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their<br />savings.<br /><br />"I only got a dollar out of the $20,"declared the<br />sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man," but he got<br />$10!" "Yeah, that's right," exclaimed the fifth man.<br />"I only saved a dollar, too. It's unfair that he got<br />ten times more than I!" "That's true!!" shouted the<br />seventh man. "Why should he get $10 back when I got<br />only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!" "Wait a minute,"<br />yelled the first four men in unison. "We didn't get<br />anything at all. The system exploits the poor!"<br /><br />The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.<br /><br />The next night the tenth man didn't show up for drinks,<br />so the nine sat down and had beers without him. But<br />when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something<br />important. They didn't have enough money between all<br />of them for even half of the bill!<br /><br />And that, ladies and gentlemen, journalists and college<br />professors, is how our tax system works. The people<br />who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from<br />a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for<br />being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore.<br />In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the<br />atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.<br /><br />David R. Conservative, not just Republican, as several Tea Party, and some Libertarian, candidates will be swept in by the backlash against this administration. The Lefties have already thrown in the towel, giving up on seats that they know are lost.<div><br /></div><div>It's certainly no surprise that all of the seats they have thrown under the bus are currently assed by Democrats that voted for Obamacare. Yet, the Progressive base doesn't want to see any correlation. And these are the self proclaimed intellectuals? </div><div><br /></div><div>The coming landslide of Reagan-like proportions, will be a moratorium on this administration. There is no other explanation for the coming beat-down. Of course, the Prog Elitists are already giving their useful idiots some talking points to babble forth. </div><div><br /></div><div>Number one excuse.... The American voters are not smart enough to know what's good for them. I suppose that just changed in the last two years?</div><div><br /></div><div>Number two excuse.... The American voters are racists. But, just two years ago they weren't.</div><div><br /></div><div>Number three excuse.... We shouldn't have: added 23% to the deficit in two years, kept unemployment at 10%, used stimulus money for nothing more than to pay off unions, and kept blaming an ex-President for everything!</div><div><br /></div><div>Hah, just kidding with number three. There's no way any of that would make folks come out and vote against you.</div><div><br /></div><div>Fear not, fellow Americans, Pelosi's swamp is about to be drained.</div>Gene Haddockhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03677117602150714769noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8214527452317104467.post-42114683890791357892010-09-26T14:30:00.000-07:002010-09-26T19:44:12.855-07:00Liberal LogicI've searched high and low for examples of the illusive liberal logic. I haven't had much luck in discovering any as of yet. Still the hunt continues, no lame excuse goes unturned. <div><br /></div><div>Liberal logic, evidently, requires one to believe the President every time he blames the previous administration for his failures. Twenty months into the new gig and B.O. is still blaming the old guy. Just give that a try at your next job review.....</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Boss</b>: Barry, you seem to be having some difficulty grasping your responsibilities here at USA.</div><div><b>Barry</b>: I'm still trying to clean up George's mess.</div><div><b>Boss</b>: George hasn't been here in almost two years.</div><div><b>Barry</b>: I know.</div><div><b>Boss</b>: Okay, then. Here's a big fat raise.</div><div><br /></div><div>It might not work quite like that here in the real world. Here in the real world, where you get paid by what you produce, excuses are for losers. Whether its your fault or not, you own every problem. You take responsibility. If you want that job title, if you want to be the lead dog, you have to show real leadership. The blame game doesn't cut it out here.</div><div><br /></div><div>Sure, the President has his Obamabots, who, also, have never been responsible for producing, at work or at home. That must be why they expect no better from their hero. That is hard to believe considering how intelligent these liberals like to think they are. </div><div><br /></div><div>Yet, there they are, believing that Obama is not smart enough to correct any of Bush's problems. Why, he's overwhelmed. He wasn't smart enough to realize <i>before </i>the election how screwed up everything was. In a year and half he has not fixed anything. If anything, everything he touches gets worse. </div>Gene Haddockhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03677117602150714769noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8214527452317104467.post-58906717666794572592010-08-04T13:07:00.000-07:002010-08-04T14:52:34.754-07:00The Fight to Stay on TopLike it or not the USA is at the top of the food chain. We waste stuff because we can. We throw crap away that two thirds of the world would take home and, either eat it, or hang it on the wall of their hut. Excess is earned, and we have earned the hell out of it.<div><br /></div><div>Over two hundred years ago we risked our lives, our homes, and our sacred honor for freedom. We have fought to keep what we earn ever since. Back then, we had less natural resources and, or, fewer people than Asia, Africa, S America, etc. We could have settled for sleeping on the dirt and peeing outside the hut's door. Half the world still lives like that, but, instead, we worked our way up to the title of World's Greatest Superpower!</div><div><br /></div><div>This wasn't luck, or an accident, or fate. This was because our people had a will to win, a sense of adventure, curiosity to invent things, and took pride in an honest day's work for an honest day's pay. Do you know what crushes all those attributes? The Ism's. Socialism, Communism, Marxism. </div><div><br /></div><div>The majority of the rest of the planet has fallen for these 'don't work, we'll take care of you' entitlement schemes. Are any of these Socialistic countries producing wealth for the people, inventing any new technologies, or exporting any high quality goods? The poorest in our society have a higher standard of living than the average European. </div><div><br /></div><div>The best thing about the current administration is that it has opened our eyes to see just how easy it is to lose everything that we've worked for. Okay, we have seen it, now it's time to beat them back into the fringes of society. </div><div><br /></div><div>Make no mistake, as long as the youth are led about by emotions and dreams, the Ism's will never completely disappear. Something for nothing, greed, class envy, race warfare, are all the clarion call to idle dreamers with no knowledge of government, business, or economy.</div>Gene Haddockhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03677117602150714769noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8214527452317104467.post-48682283068446117032010-07-31T04:46:00.000-07:002010-07-31T05:34:34.968-07:00Show me the FunnyLet me start out by saying that I have a great sense of humor. It's true, just ask anyone. Which leads to my subject: how do so many unfunny people keep appearing in the movies, or on TV? I have a short list here of unfunny players. If you disagree, tell me something, in particular, they did (this century) that was funny.<div><br /></div><div><b>Dane Cook</b>.... I suppose his fifteen minutes are finally up, and he is actually a cook somewhere. How did this talentless, moronic, hack ever become semi-famous. Was that the joke? The entertainment industry decided to just make some chump a star? I dare anyone to name one funny punchline of his. Funny being the keyword.</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Robin Williams</b>... Sure when you were seven, Mork was hilarious, but what has he done in the last thirty some years? Patch Adams alone should have been enough to get him blackballed. Watch (if you can) Williams on a talk show; no matter the subject, first he does the black voice, then John Wayne, finishing with the gay voice. Ta da! Every. Single. Time.</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Eddie Murphy</b>.... Quick, other than speaking as a pixeled jackass, name the last movie he was funny in. Going all the way back to the 1980s, aren't you? How do these guys keep getting parts?</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Adam Sandler</b>..... How long has it been since he was on Saturday Night Live? Twenty years? Because that's the last time Crazy Pickle Mustache man was funny. Happy Gilmore was his last watchable movie. Sad.</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Steve Martin</b>.... He does about one funny movie every 15-20 years. There was The Jerk. Then Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. Then, ahhh, err, uhh....</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Ricky Gervais</b>..... I don't get English humor, I guess. Because if he's supposed to be funny, I'm glad I live over here. As the fat, sweaty, bumbling, everyman, Jackie Gleason nailed it. Gervais tries to pull it off, and he's uncomfortable to watch.</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Steve Carell</b>..... I watch The Office regularly, and The 40 Year Old Virgin was funny, but he's not the reason either are funny. It's the characters around him. He is very uncomfortable to watch. Which, I suppose, is great un-comedic acting. I doubt The Office could survive without him, but he's not the one I laugh at.</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Howard Stern</b>.... I know he's not on TV, or in the movies, and there's a reason for that... he's not funny! This old shyster has made a career out of saying 'dick', 'pussy', and having lesbians, on the radio. All very groundbreaking stuff, but not necessarily funny. He has funny regulars, writers, and guests, but he, himself...not funny! </div>Gene Haddockhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03677117602150714769noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8214527452317104467.post-10715230621359612442010-05-25T20:15:00.000-07:002010-05-25T21:03:17.996-07:00Thank BP For Cheaper GasAm I the only one that has noticed that gasoline prices at the pump have been falling ever since the oil well disaster in the Gulf? Prices at the pump have gone down at least ten cents in the last two weeks. This, at the same time of year when gasoline historically goes up for the first holiday of summer. <div><br /></div><div>In the recent past, the oil companies have used any excuse to raise prices at the pump overnight. Anything and everything from a hurricane in the Gulf, to 'unrest' in the Mid East. These non-existent disasters caused prices to raise immediately, even though gas at the pump has been priced at least six months before it gets to the station. </div><div><br /></div><div>Never mind that con job, I'm all for any business, or person, making as much money as they can. Just don't piss on my shoes and tell me it's raining. Don't pretend the oil companies don't get together, collude, and price fix. That is exactly what they're doing in the wake of the oil rig explosion.</div><div><br /></div><div>The strange thing is that they are colluding to keep the gas prices from going up, not down.</div><div><br /></div><div>Yes, they have a public relations nightmare staining the Gulf, so they have conspired to not piss off the public any more than they already have. They realize that they screwed up and price gouging right now could possibly cost them billions from future off-shore drilling. </div><div><br /></div><div>There has been an over supply of oil for several months now, yet the prices have not fallen as the old supply and demand tenet says they should. This, supposedly, is due to investors buying up oil futures instead of real estate. Well, Big Oil, why are pump prices finally going down at the same time as the largest oil disaster in history? </div>Gene Haddockhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03677117602150714769noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8214527452317104467.post-74052911735744522012010-05-12T17:08:00.000-07:002010-05-12T19:28:11.300-07:00Hold the Cinco de Mayo<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">One week after five high school students in California were sent home for wearing the American flag on their tee shirts, and I'm still waiting on that liberal righteous indignation. Nary, a peep. They fogghorned for days about Rush Limbaugh calling the Obama administration a 'regime'. They flipped out over Sarah Palin posting targets of congressional districts on her website. But, take away someone's first amendment rights, and... total silence.</span></span><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"><br /></span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">The five, white, male, students wore the American flag shirts to school on Cinco de Mayo. Now, let's face it, Cinco de Mayo is celebrated in the U.S. mainly by Gringos in Mexican restaurant chains.</span></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(17, 17, 17); line-height: 16px; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"> Assistant Principal Miguel Rodriguez scooped the boys up and told them to turn the shirts inside out, or go home. Rodriguez was supposedly concerned about the boys attire being 'incendiary', and possibly causing fights with Mexican students.</span></span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(17, 17, 17); line-height: 16px; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"><br /></span></span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(17, 17, 17); line-height: 16px; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">So, instead of protecting the minority's (the white five) right to dress as they please, the A.P. lets them know that "might makes right". The school basically told the boys, "</span><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">We can't control the Mexicans, so you five have to do the wrong thing." </span></i></span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(17, 17, 17); line-height: 16px; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"><br /></span></span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(17, 17, 17); line-height: 16px; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">The next day, in full backpedal mode, the district superintendent said,</span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"> </span></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">"</span><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">The Morgan Hill Unified School District does not prohibit nor do we discourage wearing patriotic clothing. Their policies will never hold up in serious, open minded debate. So, they flip the script, and get the great unwashed masses to look at the other hand... instead of the one double dealing. <div><br /></div><div>For instance, Arizona passes a law to uphold existing federal law regarding immigrants... legal and otherwise. In the early 1950s the feds passed a law requiring all immigrants to have their "papers" on their person.... at all times! This law is still on the books. The Prez knows this. He is, after all, a lawyer. </div><div><br /></div><div>Yet, there he is, former house mouthpiece for ACORN, not mentioning that the Arizona law is not really new. That it is nothing more than a statement that, since the feds can't (or don't want to) do it, Arizona will pack up illegal trespassers. No, Obama says that it's a bad bill, and goes off on some fairy tale about someone's kid not getting ice cream because the Arizona police harassed their Papa.</div><div><br /></div><div>This is how smart the Progressives consider their base to be? <i>"We can't debate the law and actual events as we'd lose every time. Instead, let's say, 'it's for the children', and 'poor people', and always, always, play the race angle." </i>Congratulations, Democrat voters, this is how little regard your leaders have for you. They trot out the same lame arguments time after time because they know you will respond emotionally instead of logically. </div><div><br /></div><div>Class warfare, wealth envy, and the race card. All three, giant steps towards socialism, or communism even. Please check your Progressive leadership's next response to any of their opposition's ideas and see how many of those three building blocks are involved.... again.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>Gene Haddockhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03677117602150714769noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8214527452317104467.post-74933995192073128942010-04-03T10:14:00.000-07:002010-04-04T10:19:14.745-07:00What Scares LiberalsJust what are liberals scared of? I mean, besides the free market and personal freedom? It didn't take long to come up with this short list. I'm sure there are dozens more, chime in with some of your own. Here we go, in no particular order....<div><br /></div><div><b>Fox News</b>.... The network that let's, "you decide" terrifies the libs. Liberals believe that only they have the intellect and cerebral makeup to watch news and form their own judgments on what actually happened. The poor, dumb, conservatives just don't have what it takes upstairs to watch Fox and read between the lines. Oh, by the way, that line of thinking is from the same folks who believe every word that Olbermann, Maddow, Maher, and Stewart say.</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Sarah Palin</b>....Why do liberals despise her? Why all the vicious personal attacks? It's not like she wants to turn the country upside down with "change". I'll be the first to admit, she's probably never had an original idea in her life, but, then, neither has Obama. So she plays the sincerity angle to the hilt. So what, it's her gimmick. No need for the name calling. Did you ever consider that she actually may be sincere?</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Money</b>.... Well, only when someone else earns it. For the most part, liberals have never ran a business, and, no, your one employee, water purifier flop doesn't count. The Kennedys and the Gores got their money the liberal way... they inherited it. So, they have no problem taking (taxing) other hard-working folks' money away from them. The basic ways that liberals survive are inheritance, union jobs, academia, government jobs, and entitlement hand outs. You can see that none of these require any business sense, yet the lib politicians think they know, better than the owners, how to run businesses.</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Rush Limbaugh</b>....I'm constantly amazed at how many libs must listen to him everyday. They always seem to know what he said,and what he was wrong about. Or, they just fall back to their standard practice of name calling. Just as with Fox News, liberals feel it is their moral duty as the nation's intellectual superiors to save Limbaugh's 20 million listeners from his daily dose of dogma. I listen to him more than I would like... because no other stations will program anything against him for those three, early afternoon hours! I can easily determine when he is joking, when he is stretching the truth, and when he is outright wrong. Relax, libs, he doesn't have 20 million zombies lock-stepping to the polls. Unlike the libs, most rational thinkers get their information from several different outlets.</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Clowns</b>..... Yes, clowns scare liberals. Ronald McDonald in particular. Not only is he scary, but he makes our kids overeat his unhealthy foods! Does anyone with an IQ in triple digits think that killing off ol' Ronald is going to slim these kids down? How about a little personal responsibility from their parents? I kinda doubt that those kids are driving themselves to McDonalds.<br /><div><br /></div><div><br /></div></div>Gene Haddockhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03677117602150714769noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8214527452317104467.post-23335828415729789652010-03-25T17:59:00.000-07:002010-03-25T19:41:23.971-07:0010% Tanning TaxWhere's all the white women? Don't worry Sheriff Bart, they'll soon be everywhere. In yet another move to decrease, not create, jobs Obamacare will install a 10% tax on tanning bed time. Twenty thousand tanning salons across the nation will be affected. But, it's okay, their clientèle is mostly younger, white women that don't vote.<div><br /><div><div>The Progressives are sure that these cigarette smoking, booze drinking, gals won't mind one more little sun... er, sin tax. Besides, those UV rays can't be good for you. Once again, liberals step in to save us from ourselves, and if they happen to steal some cash while doing it, even better.</div><div><br /></div><div>How did they decide to go after white women, the majority demographic in this country? They planned on holding up cosmetic surgeons for 5% of their wet work. A Bo-tax on Botox if you will. One little flaw, those surgeons are rich and powerful. Tanning salon owners, not so much. </div><div><br /></div><div>The cosmetic surgeons claimed that the Bo-tax was discriminatory towards women, as they get the majority of the nip and tucks. So they bought... er, talked the lib machine into taking 10% from the tanners, instead of 5% from the doctors.</div><div><br /></div><div>So instead of 5 billion over the next ten years, from the surgeons, the Progressives settled for half that much from the tanning industry. Why? Either one of these holdups unfairly singles out white women for some extra tax milking. </div><div><br /></div><div>On one hand you have the cosmetic surgery patients. A little older, a little more affluent than the tanning babes. Which group is more liable to vote, or make a political donation? The Progs must have spent two, three minutes deciding which way that wind was blowing. </div><div><br /></div><div>Shouldn't NOW take up for these women? Nah, no need for NOW to get their panties all in a wad over these party girls. Right? Don't worry, NOW won't talk back to their pimps. They know the Dems ain't much, but they're all they have. Now, NOW get back out there on that track and make big daddy some money.</div><div><div><br /></div></div><div>Just remember, it's all fun and games until it happens to you. And, that crew in D.C. will leave no dime unturned.</div></div></div>Gene Haddockhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03677117602150714769noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8214527452317104467.post-87766695746897972102010-02-27T14:59:00.000-08:002010-02-27T17:59:22.805-08:00I'm From the Government, and I'm Here to HelpWhy is Michelle Obama so concerned about childhood obesity? She has vowed to rid the country of this plague. But, why? Does she want to make sure that those young, fat, future Democrats live long lives? Maybe.<div><br /></div><div>In all actuality, it's about the same thing that's behind every liberal cause.... control. They love to tell the great unwashed what they should be doing. After all the libs are smarter than everyone else, so we really should heed their advice. We may be too dense to realize it, but, trust them, they know best.</div><div><br /></div><div>You might think that the thousands of children in the U.S. that go hungry every day would be more of a pressing issue than the thousands of young tax credits that eat too much. You would be correct of course, but helping feed the poor and homeless kids would require some real work and effort, and, besides, their parents don't vote.</div><div><br /></div><div>We can't expect the First Lady to mingle with the not-so-great unwashed down at the soup kitchen, can we? No, that's hard, dirty, unglamorous work. It's so much better to appear on Oprah, Ellen, The Today Show, and a few clean schools for the carefully scripted media ops. I'm sure she won't think twice about embarrassing some big boned kids on national TV.</div><div><br /></div><div>It's going to be all about making her feel (and look) good. Nothing makes a liberal feel as good as having people actually listen to their commands. And, she'll certainly have some well scripted dog and pony shows where they trot out the big kids, tell them what they're doing wrong, hug them, and squirt a few tears.</div><div><br /></div><div>This is just one more brick in the liberal progressive gulag that they're building, "If you can't take care of your children, we will!" Our public schools are doing all they can to force their socialist propaganda on our kids. Now, the Obamas want to make sure the children know that the government is going to take care of all their needs. From the womb, to the tomb. </div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>Gene Haddockhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03677117602150714769noreply@blogger.com2
