Most rational people know that job creation is almost non-existent because employers will not hire people right now due to uncertainty about the future. They don't know what the tax structure will be in two years, they don't know if they will be forced to supply healthcare, and they have no idea if the EPA will backdoor cap and trade sanctions on them. They simply will not hire new people as long as the current administration continues to foist unpopular, anti-business, socialism upon them.

Earlier this week President Obama tried to blame ATMs and airport self-serve kiosks for high unemployment numbers; as if ATMs are displacing bank tellers. He can not possibly be that stupid, but he evidently believes his supporters are. As usual the main stream media overlooked this outright lie. Imagine the uproar if Sarah Palin uttered the same inanities as the man from Harvard.

The number of bank tellers is steadily rising, and the Bureau of Labor statistics predicts "favorable" job prospects for tellers over the next decade. So, try again, sir. Perhaps, your base will believe that the automobile industry is keeping all of the blacksmiths out of work. Or, the light bulb factories are responsible for all the candle makers currently on unemployment.

A Trip to The Post Office

Let me say first that I have not been to the Post Office in several years. I have a personal mail box at a private postal service, Postal Pal, which has excellent service. Yet, somehow, in this age of direct payments, I found myself in need of one stamp the other day.

I was close to the Post Office on Rivers Avenue in North Charleston. I last visited there more than ten years ago; you know, back when they still had stamp machines that took cash. As I pulled in, I noticed the lot was almost full, except for the three handicap spaces up front. Three? No matter, all I needed was the one stamp, I'd pop in and out in no time.

Upon entering the lobby, I spied the new fangled, postage machine, with fully functioning side scale. After waiting for the golden-ager ahead of me to complete his business, I stepped up and began touching the touch screen. Oh, by the way, it doesn't dispense stamps, it prints out the amount like a postage meter.

After the mini-ordeal of five or six screens to buy a stamp, the last screen said insert credit card. Great! I don't carry a wallet. I just leave my license, cards, etc in my car's console until I need them. So, back outside to get a credit card, back by the three, still vacant, handicapped spots, back by the twenty people still waiting for the next available USPS clerk, back inside to wait behind the three people who were once waiting behind me at the postage machine.

Now that I know that I need to bring a credit card to buy a forty-four cent stamp I probably won't be back, but I do love that postage dispenser. Just one thought for the highly efficient folks in postal blue.... Why don't you put up a couple of signs that say, 'No Cash, Credit Only'!

NWO at the DOJ

Should an outfit as huge as the United States Department of Justice be using some globalist, new world order, mumbo jumbo dogma as its slogan?

Last summer the DOJ took the US flag, and eagle, off its letterhead, and, off the home page of their website. The new letterhead is black and white, while the web page looks like one of the free options from Google Blogger. Oceanic Blue?

More disturbing than removing any hint of Old Glory is the addition of a globalist quote to prominence on the DOJ's public face. "The common law is the will of mankind, issuing from the life of the people." This globalist (I say, communist) double speak is credited to C. Wilfred Jenks.

Jenks was a lawyer for the International Labor Organization during the last century. Some of the ILO's great ideas were placing the first Soviet senior member of the UN, giving Palestine observer status in the UN, and making anti-Israel announcements. The ILO was so leftist that the US withdrew from them back in the 1970s.

Apparently, they are leaning just left enough for the Obama administration to plaster one of their leader's quotes all over our "unbiased" Department of Justice.

Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and
the bill for all ten comes to $100 and If they paid
their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something
like this:

The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
The fifth would pay $1.
The sixth would pay $3.
The seventh would pay $7.
The eighth would pay $12.
The ninth would pay $18.
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.

So, that's what they decided to do.

The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed
quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the
owner threw them a curve. "Since you are all such good
customers," he said, "I'm going to reduce the cost of
your daily beer by $20." so drinks for the ten now cost
just $80.

The group still wanted to pay their bill the way
we pay our taxes so the first four men were unaffected...They
would still drink for free...But what about the other
six men - the paying customers? How could they divide
the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his 'fair
share?'...They realized that $20 divided by six is
$3.33...But if they subtracted that from everybody's
share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each
end up being paid to drink his beer..So, the bar owner
suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's
bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to
work out the amounts each should pay.

And so:
The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing
(100% savings).
The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%savings).
The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28%savings).
The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings).

The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings).
The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).

Each of the six was better off than before...And
the first four continued to drink for free...But once
outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their
savings.

"I only got a dollar out of the $20,"declared the
sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man," but he got
$10!" "Yeah, that's right," exclaimed the fifth man.
"I only saved a dollar, too. It's unfair that he got
ten times more than I!" "That's true!!" shouted the
seventh man. "Why should he get $10 back when I got
only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!" "Wait a minute,"
yelled the first four men in unison. "We didn't get
anything at all. The system exploits the poor!"

The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.

The next night the tenth man didn't show up for drinks,
so the nine sat down and had beers without him. But
when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something
important. They didn't have enough money between all
of them for even half of the bill!

And that, ladies and gentlemen, journalists and college
professors, is how our tax system works. The people
who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from
a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for
being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore.
In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the
atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.

Drain That Swamp!

In less than two weeks a Conservative tide will swamp the House and Senate. Conservative, not just Republican, as several Tea Party, and some Libertarian, candidates will be swept in by the backlash against this administration. The Lefties have already thrown in the towel, giving up on seats that they know are lost.

It's certainly no surprise that all of the seats they have thrown under the bus are currently assed by Democrats that voted for Obamacare. Yet, the Progressive base doesn't want to see any correlation. And these are the self proclaimed intellectuals?

The coming landslide of Reagan-like proportions, will be a moratorium on this administration. There is no other explanation for the coming beat-down. Of course, the Prog Elitists are already giving their useful idiots some talking points to babble forth.

Number one excuse.... The American voters are not smart enough to know what's good for them. I suppose that just changed in the last two years?

Number two excuse.... The American voters are racists. But, just two years ago they weren't.

Number three excuse.... We shouldn't have: added 23% to the deficit in two years, kept unemployment at 10%, used stimulus money for nothing more than to pay off unions, and kept blaming an ex-President for everything!

Hah, just kidding with number three. There's no way any of that would make folks come out and vote against you.

Fear not, fellow Americans, Pelosi's swamp is about to be drained.

Liberal Logic

I've searched high and low for examples of the illusive liberal logic. I haven't had much luck in discovering any as of yet. Still the hunt continues, no lame excuse goes unturned.

Liberal logic, evidently, requires one to believe the President every time he blames the previous administration for his failures. Twenty months into the new gig and B.O. is still blaming the old guy. Just give that a try at your next job review.....

Boss: Barry, you seem to be having some difficulty grasping your responsibilities here at USA.

Barry: I'm still trying to clean up George's mess.

Boss: George hasn't been here in almost two years.

Barry: I know.

Boss: Okay, then. Here's a big fat raise.

It might not work quite like that here in the real world. Here in the real world, where you get paid by what you produce, excuses are for losers. Whether its your fault or not, you own every problem. You take responsibility. If you want that job title, if you want to be the lead dog, you have to show real leadership. The blame game doesn't cut it out here.

Sure, the President has his Obamabots, who, also, have never been responsible for producing, at work or at home. That must be why they expect no better from their hero. That is hard to believe considering how intelligent these liberals like to think they are.

Yet, there they are, believing that Obama is not smart enough to correct any of Bush's problems. Why, he's overwhelmed. He wasn't smart enough to realize before the election how screwed up everything was. In a year and half he has not fixed anything. If anything, everything he touches gets worse.
